Week 8

Week 8 was a good week for everyone. We started off by doing tongue twisters into our private moments (refer back to unit 1, page 6 to find out more about private moment) our private moments help us calm our nerves, and find peace and concentration within ourselves, it’s not something to be watched or something to be interesting, it’s simply for us to learn to calm our nerves before a performance, this will benefit me as an actor because in any future performances I will know what do do to calm my nerves down if I’m ever feeling stressed or anxious about going on stage.

We also performed our play’s, so the Goat Group and Hansel and Gretel performed in front of each other, and Mike to get constructive criticism and feedback on what worked and didn’t. I feel like my group, the Goat Group did great, we still have a lot to work on, and improve however we got more good comments than bad. Some time after we learnt some new techniques to help us with learning lines, these techniques involved a speed run, and some sort of action either being; throwing our shoes back and forth trying to catch them while speed running our lines. Or speed running our lines, and if we stop or forget our lines everyone else in our group has to do press-ups while you (the one that messed up) has to watch and feel guilty. These are really good in the way that the make you think “oh shit! I really need to learn my lines so I don’t let down my team” this will benefit me as an actor Because it makes sure I will get my lines learnt if I don’t want to get hurt, or don’t want to feel guilty about dragging my team down.

This week we did nothing with Olexandra because she is self isolating, the only thing we did was a skills audit on teams.
