Week 2

[week 2 is not 100% up to standard because I was self isolating]

This week everyone learnt more about the lighting types, and what they are useful for, and how they differentiate from other lighting types. (Go to unit 4, to see my research)

Everyone performed their Shakespearean monologues in front of the Performing Arts department which I can only imagine was terrifying. Since I wasn’t in I had to perform my monologue on week 4.

With Olexandra everyone learnt “hit the road jack” and got set as homework to fully learn it by Tuesday next week.

we [ I included ] did some work with Richard on teams because he was also self isolating due to covid-19. We did some work to Stanislavsky and learnt about the naturalism, and realism techniques (refer back to unit 1, techniques, page 7 & 8) we did a physical exercise which was to use naturalism and realism to act out waiting at a bus stop for the bus. This may seem tedious and it was but the aspect of acting how you would do something when you wouldn’t is weird, for example if your gonna check the time and look at your watch, and if you have no watch that’s just mime, to implement that with realism you would need to have a watch to check your watch.
