week 18

This week i have finally found the perfect modern monologue for me, it is the Jokers speech about chaos to Harvey in The Dark Knight check (Unit 7 -> My monologues) to see the full monologue, I have also had a talk with mike about my second Shakespearean monologue and we have agreed that i will do the monologue from Richard III “Was ever woman…” check (Unit 7 -> my monologues) to see the full monologue. I have almost fully learnt the Jokers monologue however I am struggling immensely to learn Richard III’s monologue.

A while ago we were told to pick a song [solo] from any musical to perform for Olexandra, I picked the final song from Jekyll & Hyde “The confrontation” and fully learnt it and even matched the tone and pitch of my voice to Jekyll and Hyde and worked on a slight transformation for whenever I switch in between Jekyll to Hyde, and we just got told to scrap it and do one that she picked called “poisoning pigeons in the park”. I for one was not very happy with this change as i have put a lot of effort into my Jekyll & Hyde solo, but i will try my best to learn it.
