Week 11

Me and my group have now got all the sound effects, and lighting queues downloaded and sent to Mike, ready for our performance on Monday 14th. This week was mainly just final rehearsals and getting all our sound effects and lights picked out, and ready to go, because it was tech week, we were off timetable so we had plenty of time to experiment and add some finishing touches to our piece. We decided to give Lilly a more memorable place in the play as when she is introducing the cudgel in the sack to the third son, and the audience she originally would just stand there and say it, however now we have added some comedic and visual aspects to the cudgel as she’s introducing it and we give her, her own moment.

Aside from the goat performance I have started to look at the monologues/duologue I’m going to be performing after the Christmas holiday’s. I have chosen to do 3 monologues, and 1 duologue with Alex Morgan. They are; Shakespearean: Richard III, Modern: [unknown], film: Lucifer [maybe], and my duologue will be Hamlet. It will be hamlets and Laertes fight. I will be playing Laertes whilst Alex plays Hamlet, however we needed 1 more person to be Ostrich so we asked Saeem to be him. On Friday we did our first bit of staged combat training preparing us for choreographing our fight sequence. [videos]
