I have been assigned to find music and sound effects that we could use in our play, with the help of Saeem to have a second opinion to add only the best songs that match the theme of our performance.

I have selected many songs that we had to drop because we had to cut the performance short, and there were many suggestions that did not make the final cut.

These are the songs that we were originally going to have on the performance:

So this is what we were originally going to have, not the finished product!

London Blitz: Sound Effects & Images (for simulation) – scene 1 – 0:00 – 1:34

Frozen 2 – Into the Unknown – Karaoke with Siren Voice – start of scene 2 – 0:00 – 1:15

Christmas Bells Sound Effect ➡ ChristmasSoundEffects | HD -Scene 5 when Santa Claus enters – 0:06 – 0:12.

it’s time to take back your throne | war storm playlist – Transitioning to scene 6 (dungeon scene for Edmund and Tumnus) – 0:00 – 0:40

Most Epic Music Ever: “The Wolf And The Moon” by BrunuhVille – Start of scene 6. Introduction to Aslan – 0:00 – 0:45 (fade out)

Greatest Battle Music OF All Times: This Day And Never Again – End of scene 6 (Aslans Death) – 1:45 – 2:35

I’m My Own Master Now (Spirit of the Wolf Mix) – Start of scene 7 (Aslans resurrection) – 0:15 – 0:30

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Battle Theme | TWO STEPS FROM HELL STYLE – Scene 7 (during the battle scene) – Only stops when the white witch dies.

Skyrim Theme Song – Full (Dovahkiin Song) – End of scene 7 when the battle is over – 2:54 – 3:55

London Blitz: Sound Effects & Images (for simulation) – and finally we reach our final scene, scene 8 where everything comes full circle and where back in London. 1:34 – whenever the scene ends.

Unfortunately quite a few of these didn’t make the cut and their entire scene was cut out. For example Aslan’s death scene got cut out and that song to go with it. However this was just an example of what we had to work with at the start of the rehearsal process and piece.

This is what we currently have, and the final piece/material:

Scene 1 and scene 2 –

We have decided in this sound effect/music so that the first 2 scenes of our play is historically accurate since it is set in the year 1940s during the London Blitz. So I had a search around and found this sound effect which is very good for what we are using it for and suits the theme of these first 2 scenes.

Scene 3 –

The reason why we thought that Into the Unknown would be a good pick for this scene is because this one is the karaoke version and it being just plain instrumental it sounds really magical and wonderful, and as this scene is Lucy waking up in Narnia for the first time you would naturally expect it to be magical, and the music builds up until Lucy meets Tumnus so we thought it would be a great pick for that reason.

Scene 3-

This sound effect was chosen because 1, its from narnia, and 2 it adds a nice snowy wonderland feeling to the transition/scene.

Scene 3 –

The fireplace sound effect was chosen because it is realistic to the scene and adds depth to it and makes it a nicer scene to watch, plus you get to see the passage of time when the fire stops.

Scene 3 –

This music/sound effect was chosen because there is no way one of us is learning how to play a Flute/recorder in the time frame that we have, also is quite a mystical and mysterious sounding music which fits the way the Flute is used in the scene.

Scene 3 –

This music begins at 0:23 because it has a fantasy sort of feel to it, and because it is used in a running away scene and it gives you a bit of a adrenaline rush listening to it.

Scene 3 –

Pain’s Theme (the title of this soundtrack was used and chosen because its so intense and evil sounding which is perfect for the introduction of the white witch, which is when we first meet her.

Scene 3 –

The Freezing sound effect was chosen to be the sound that plays when the Witch Freezes Tumnus for betraying her.

Scene 4 –

This is the sound effect that plays whilst the scene in the beaver dam is on going. This is to show realism to a real beavers dam.

Scene 4 –

Scene 5 –

Scene 6 –

Scene 7 –

Scene 8 –

That is everything sound-wise that we have from start to finish of the performance, and why we have decided on these songs and sound effects.

And here is the queues script for all of these different sound effects:
