Self evaluation

My strengths in acting are-

  • I work well in a group once I get to know the people I’m working with and am good at taking orders and instructions well.
  • I’m good at turning up on time
  • I am confident in my acting ability and I have a wide verity of acting skills I have picked up, such as having good control over my chest and nasal resonators, I’m good at over exaggerating gestures or actions.
  • I have good knowledge and experience in staged combat (with swords) and have had some amount of training within it.
  • I can play a variety of roles and play them all quite well (I have a very wide casting, examples of this would be villain archetype roles or hero/Protagonist and I can also play side characters well… even though I like having the spotlight)
  • I am easy to work well with and can come up with great ideas, however I can only come up with great ideas if I’m really enjoying the show we are doing and if I’m really feeling it

My weaknesses in acting are-

  • I have a hard time getting close to people and staring to rely on them which can hinder my teamwork with the rest of my colleagues.
  • I’m quite stubborn and I like things being done my way even though my way might not always be the best way.
  • I have a severe skin condition which flares up every so often and can get in the way of my acting career or can make me miss rehearsal time (I’m getting better so not for long will this condition get in my way)

How will I improve upon my weaknesses?

  • I will open up more to people I don’t know yet, so it’s easier for them to get to know me so I can get to know them and work with them better.
  • I will try to have a more open mind for now on and try to take in and considers other people’s opinions more and try to accept other people’s ideas as well as my own.
  • I will start to focus more on my skin and care for it better to overcome this condition so I don’t miss any rehearsal time.

My targets/aims for my acting career is to go to RADA Drama School located in London and to sometime after that go to Yale Drama School which is located in Los Angeles (LA America) How will I achieve this?

I’m going to take a year gap after finishing my studies in college and get into the industry (start applying for modelling jobs, jobs as extras and maybe actually do some acting) all while working to save up enough money to go to America once I finish my time at RADA.
