PRACTICAL SKILLS – SC 2021

This week I have been told to choose up to three monologues. I originally had 3 monologues and 1 duologue, but that changed due to covid-19 and the new lockdown we’re in. We have to choose either 1 classical and two modern monologues or vice versa.

I have chosen two classical monologues and 1 modern monologue! the monologues of my choice are “virtue a fig!” by Iago from Othello, “was ever woman” by Richard from Richard III and my modern is “do I look like a guy with a plan, Harvey” by the Joker from The Dark knight. I think I’ll have some trouble with Richard III since its quite long and has got some difficult language in there, Iago’s will be easy since i already leant it, and the Jokers will be easy as well as its not incredibly long and the language is quite straight forward and simple.

I have learnt all of my lines for Iago’s and the Jokers monologues, I’m making a start with Richard III but I’m finding it quite challenging because I’ve got some stuff going on and the language is quite complex
