Different job roles

  1. Director) The director is the boss, they control how everything is done in the set and everyone

2. Stage manager) The stage manager is responsible for checking that everything is in its place and that all the props are present and set is in order, and that the costumes are in a easily accessible are to the actors. They are also responsible for the tech side of things in a play for example; sound, and lighting.

3. Actors) The actors are the ones playing the characters in that play. All they are responsible for is learning lines, coming up with new creative ideas for there characters and to continuously improve your performance.

4. Technicians) Technicians are responsible for making sure all the lights are rigged up and that any trip hazards are avoided example (having random wires put out of the way).

5. Light designers) The lighting designers are responsible that all the lights have the correct colored gel and that all the lights are working as intended for their corresponding queues.

6. Sound designer) Sound designers make sure that all the sound effects are in order and in a playlist of sorts so it is easily accessible to play them in their queues.

7. Makeup designer) The makeup designer is responsible for doing the actors makeup before the play so that the actors are in character and look like them (for example a 17 year old playing a 70 year old).

8. Fight choreographer) Fight choreographers might not be in every set, because they are there to train the actors in fighting sequences, if there are no fighting sequences there will not be any fight choreographers.
