Something rotten is a play that is set in the year 1590 and follows the lead of two brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom. Nick and Nigel must come up with a big hit to rival the smash hits of William Shakespeare who has/will steal various ideas from them, and on top of them having to come up with a big hit, if they don’t do it soon and it rivals Shakespeare’s masterpieces, their theatre will close and they will lose their sponsorship. So in a hunt for the next big hit Nick Bottom travels to Soothsayer’s alley and meets Nostradamus, which finds out for Nick that the next big hit will be musicals.
